Villcare Ltd. employs professional, caring, experienced and qualified staff. We comply with all legislation relating to recruitment, including criminal record background checks. We obtain a minimum of two references, one of which must be from the most recent employers. We telephone each referee to verify the reference.
All staff are required to achieve a minimum of a Level 2 Diploma (or NVQ) in Health and Social Care and, if they wish, are supported to achieve qualifications in excess of this. The Registered Managers both have Level 4 qualifications in Leadership and Management for Care Services.
We offer a robust training programme, which includes:
- A thorough induction training, over a 12 week period which has been developed in line with Skills for Care '10 Common Induction Standards'

- A programme of mandatory core training topics which are taken by staff on induction and thereafter on an annual basis. This training is mandatory and covers 12 topics including Health and Safety, Safe Administration of Medication, Infection Control, Manual Handling and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults.
- A programme of additional, specialist courses which our care workers attend over and above minimum requirements. Topics are varied and include condition-specific topis such as Dementia, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Managing Challenging Behaviour.
